Too Many Missing Locations!

I live in Studio City, which is only one of many, many locations that are viable entities in vastness of The City Of Los Angeles. Perhaps you've heard of Los Angeles. But for others in the Global Community, Studio City is ONE particular area in Southern California. It is NOT to be confused with Cinecitta in Rome, or Universal City, also in Los Angeles. When I tried, tried, TRIED and T-R-I-E-D to place Studio City in my profile and update it accordingly, not only was it never accepted, I discovered that I was no longer visable to ANYONE, while I was online! It doesn't stop there. After literally dozens of futile efforts to post Studio City AND Southern California in my Profile, I finally GAVE UP. NEITHER Location was showing as accepted by your team. I knew only too well that to simply acquiesce and use Los Angeles, was not a viable solution. Even now, if I look at Southern California for the Location Options on your Site, I don't see Studio City, Sherman Oaks, Valley Village, Encino, Tarzana, Woodland Hills, Canoga Park, Chatsworth, Northridge, Mission Hills, Granada Hills, Pacoima, Sylmar, or Toluca Lake appearing. ALL of those Locations are part of The City Of Los Angeles! And that's only most of the City, on the other side of the Hollywood Hills in the San Fernando Valley! Speaking of which, also missing from the Valley are the Cities Of Burbank, Glendale, San Fernando and Calabasas. From the San Fernando Valley, over on the other side of the Hollywood Hills as well as the Santa Monica Mountains, you've got Silverlake, Venice, Korea Town, Little Tokyo, China Town, Wilshire District, East LA, Montebello and Westwood missing. And that's just MORE of Los Angeles! Also missing are the Cities of Beverly Hills, Malibu, Compton, Santa Ana, Newport Beach, Redondo Beach, Santa Monica, Huntington Beach, Lancaster, San Juan Capistrano, Valencia, Pomona, City Of Industry, City Of Commerce... And yes, those two last entries are the names of those Cities, as they actually appear on the Map.

In absolute frustration over not being able to enter Studio City as my actual location AND get it entered as such, I gave up. I tried a different approach- simple, highly effective, and helpful to anyone guessing as to which part of Los Angeles it was, where I LIVED. In my Personal Comments section of my Profile, I wrote, simply, and I quote: "I'm in Studio City, close to Hollywood, West Hollywood, North Hollywood, and not far from Silverlake." Harmless enough I thought, and helpful as well to others, who would now know that Silverlake and Studio City are BOTH close to Hollywood! It was a simple lesson in Geography. VERY innocent, I thought. Utterly harmless. Yet my simple Geography lesson was completely edited OUT. Why??? It's not like I was advertising a Private Opium Den, a Brothel Of Boys, an Avant Garde Film Studio/Art Atelier painted entirely in Silver, a Den Of Iniquity, a Secret Society Of Nihilists, or an Association Of Anarchists!!!

So what was so dangerously wrong in my telling guys that Studio City is close to Hollywood, North Hollywood and Silverlake, so OTHER guys have SOME concept of where Studio City IS? Whatever happened to Free Speech? Is what I wrote so threatening to your Staff, or are they afraid to learn some extremely basic Geography 101?? You know, this Site has given me nothing but wasted time, supreme annoyance and total exasperation, at the SIMPLE THINGS that are being made SO COMPLICATED!

It's no wonder your Membership has dwindled. If your Staff can't hande something as harmless as my giving guys SOME idea as to where they can find me, then I think you, Michael, need to redirect their Priorities. LOOK. I'm 53 years old. I think I can handle guys from across the Planet in ascertaining just WHERE it is I LIVE. If I can deal with it, why can YOU? !DAMN!

In the Greater Perspective of The Universe, NOW do you see how unthreatening it is, to indicate that Studio City is near Hollywood, West Hollywood, North Hollywood AND near Silverlake???

You are right. There are many missing locations and it is being worked on. We are also adding the zip code search back into the site in the coming weeks. It will not just be a city search but other ways to search as well.
