i was with this guy who was not poz i really liked him . when I told him I was poz he paused took a minute to tell me that he was ok with that but he wanted to use condoms I told him I didn't like using condoms and if he were to get on prep he would limit his risk of being infected someone of his beauty i would have to go through what I had to go through being young handsome and passed around like a joint and then being rejected by all the hot guys because I was poz it is not a life I wish for any of the people who do not have it I may have settled down had a family been a good husband to someone but after I was diagnosed I sank into this deep depression I've slept with a totally of 5 men in the last 14 years don't be stupid get checked and often and get on prep as soon as you can . the infection will kill you and it will be a slow painful death I have seen it its not pretty and the meds only slow the infection it doesn't stop it your body breaks down due to the effect of the medications and if you get sick it takes longer and longer to heal and things as small as a pimple can make you sick . its not good .. if you have or know someone who's neg and you want to sleep with them encourage them to get on prep then you can fill them with all the cum you want it won't prevent it completely but it will keep it at bay and if you can use condoms I apologise to anyone who is reading this and I have bummed you out but you need to know the consequences of this horrible disease you will be healthy if you stay on a regimen for a long time but over time your system will break down one by one and we all just want to fuck and it feels to be good to be a part of someone and have them be a part of you but live and learn how to stay healthy as long as you can

Yes, the meds do slow down the progression. In fact, if the meds are used right, you can live a normal life, and die of something other than HIV. Don't get me wrong, there are still chances that it will get worse for some, but the average life expectancy of a young man getting hiv at 18-20y/o is to live until he's 69y./o. Average life expectancy for a non-hiv man in the US is 79y/o. So the disease IS manageable. I say this so that people with HIV don't get discouraged.

As for those who are negative, know your risks. I will never tell anyone else what to do. I know guys who want HIV, and those who want NO chance of getting it. Even though studies have shown no transmission from an undetectable poz guy to a neg. guy, and if you couple that with a condom you are 99.999% unlikely to get HIV, BUT....

Yes, I said But. If you want NO chance of getting HIV, then abstain from sex all together. Just sit at home and wank. Extreme you might say? Yes, but it's the 100% guaranteed way of not getting HIV. Even sex with a woman with a condom might get you the disease. So what are you to do?

Know the risks, and know what risks you're willing to take. If you don't want any chance, then certainly refuse to have sex with anyone who's POZ. It's a choice. You don't have to get on prep and hope not to get it. (Yes, there have been cases of guys getting HIV while on Prep, though limited and poss. due to wrong use of the meds.)

Just like any other choices in sex, have sex with a 500 pound guy, or not, have sex with a guy with no meat on his bones or not, have sex with blondes, or not, have sex with other men, or women, or both.....They're ALL choices you make, depending on what you want. Yes, I know what it's like to be turned down by someone and feel unwanted, but it's still your choice. If you don't want any risk, then don't have sex with someone who's poz. If you don't mind some risk, then go for it, up to the point of risk you want to take. That means if you want a condom, then insist on it. I don't like sex with condoms, but it's YOUR choice, not his. Talk about it with the guy, and who knows, maybe he'll convince you to change your mind, but in the end, it's still your choice. And if you do become poz, then you know it was only your choice, just like the guy who get's passed around a room getting used by anyone with out insisting on a condom....it's their choice, and they have to live with that.

In the UK, before I chose to pay for PrEP myself so I can have raw fucks and hopefully remain neg, I was told that as long as I take it as guided, I should remain neg. I have chosen to take it every day, though my sexual encounters are far less frequent than that so far. Daily dosing seemed simpler to me - if it got to the point of being too expensive, then I'd have to look at taking it only when it looks like sex is likely a day or two before - if it spontaneously occurs, then taking it as soon as I can before or after sex - that doesn't seem ideal - I just want to bring the body and taker the loads - any UK fuckers, please take note!!

Yes, you're right, the chances are extremely low that anyone should get HIV if they take Prep on a daily basis. That said, will you guarantee 100% that someone won't get HIV if they're on PreP?  That is the point I'm making in my post. Yes, the chances are so low that "I" would use PreP if I was neg. to avoid getting HIV, WITH the knowledge that it's not a 100% guarantee. There are guys who want to use a condom if YOU give them a blow job, to make certain that they can't get anything from your mouth. I would say the chances of that are extremely low, but those guys who want 100% guarantee should realize that there are no 100% guarantee's unless you abstain from sex. That's where the RISK FACTOR comes in. If you're looking for an almost fail proof guarantee, PreP is a good idea. If you're looking for the "If I get HIV though I've used this method, someone will pay all my medical bills and make life back to normal" guarantee, then abstinence  is you're best method.  It's what the individual is willing to take for a risk that matters. Before I was poz, I chose to not use a condom all the time, and that was before Prep was even thought of. That was MY choice of RISK that I wanted to take. That said, I could say "Why use PreP?"  Well, that was MY choice of risk factor I would take.

So again, the risk factor is something like 99.999% guarantee that you're protected if you use the medications every day, and IF you have the ability to pay for it (My husbands is paid for by our insurance). But for 100% guarantee, you need to abstain.

For good information on this, check out CDC.gov, the US Center for Disease Control. They have a lot of info. on risk factors with different forms of protection, compared to none.

I'm ok with the 99.999% chance I won't get pozzed. In the UK, if I DID get pozzed, then the cost of PrEP would be covered by the National Health Service, so that remains an option. Bit of a crazy world, but it does mean I can cheerfully take any load. Now if someone pinpricked my ass, there would not be much I could do to stop him...

POZ & not on meds here & not planning on taking any anytime soon either, Oh did i forget to mention i'm highly toxic too with a huge viral load over a million. So can POZ at will. Even though my internist is always trying to convince me to start meds i avoid it at all cost not because of the cost but because what is the point to choose to become POZ only to go directly to taking meds. I know most of you guys do this but i just don't get the point in that. If i was NEG i would avoid taking Prep it's like taking a condom. Not for me never.

I am non-detectable poz and 'socially responsible' enough to not be able to cum inside another man:(.  Just a mental block I assume?  My lover fucks me daily and we usually flip, but again I do not cum in his ass, but will in his mouth.  My doctor suggested PrEP  for both of us, as he is NEG.  As an aside, we both have Lovense Hush butt plugs, which can be 'driven' remotely through a smartphone and I love to insert mine after he has loaded me up and we go out somewhere.  Nothing like sitting across from each other in a restaurant and having him 'drive' the Hush, churning his load inside of me:P
