Managing general health after being pozzed

Hi there -

I'm looking to get pozzed some time soon. It makes sense in many ways, not least in that it will set my slutty self free to get fucked as much as possible in any sauna, club or bush!

`i know that HIV is pretty much guaranteed, as well as other some STDs that can be cured through medication.

I guess I like to keep on top of my health, so I'm wondering what any of you have been pozzed has found helpful in keeping your immune system as healthy as possible.

I intend to fuck around, so won't be going down the sero compatible route - once I'm poz, I'll fuck anyone who knows I'm poz and is up for it, and I'll take all the loads I can.

So - any help with general health issues welcome. Please don't bother to contact me about avoiding getting pozzed - my mind is made up there.

Besides that, my ex bf was positive and he became a health freak. Seems to have worked for him thus far...15 years on and never been sick. Lots of vegetables and fruit.

I'd agree with that, lots of fruit and vegetables. And keep the junk food to a minimum, and avoid crap like coca cola!

My biggest concern is getting hepatitus C from a load from someone who has hep C, because as I understand it, that complicates things a lot treatment wise.

I have been POZ for about 7years. My Meds consist of a twice a day regiment of pills. Not withstanding the pain in the ass that is. They don't always react very well so once I take my night dose I can't drive because I get dizzy and disoriented so I have to go to sleep. Another thing that these POZ infected sex freak addicts don't tell you is that after a few years your blood begins to break down and even though you are alive, sometimes you don't even have the energy to wipe your ass.

OK! So much for the quick health overview, now let me give an exact $Dollar amount of what it costs to stay alive. Monthly my regiment consists of Sustiva $610.99 and Combivir $896.09.

That's $1507.08 every fucking month. If you can afford this, call me I'll POZ you myself. If you can't and expect the rest of us to flip the bill. Call me so I can kick the fucking shit out of you.

Been POZ for the last 10 years and living good.. Live in Brazil. Lucky we are, all meds and lab tests are free of charges. Just go tho the City or State health center.

I've been living for several years with HIV, on meds, and doing well. I know some guys who have had HIV since the 80's, and with the newer meds are living normal lives. I don't suggest you take the risk if you're not wanting HIV, but if you do take the risks, just know that there are some great meds out there, and great doctors to help you survive.

watch what you eat, no prepackaged shit, little to no dairy and sugar, dairy and sugars feed candida which is a yeast (fungus) that lives inside you and to much is bad, eat mostly raw or lightly cooked vegetable and fruit, and get some exercise a few times a week ... if you want to get pozzed

Been poz almost 30 years! In some countries pills are expensive, here in Australia they are free, but not the ones that I have to take to combat the side effects of the pills! Catch 22!!

Pills are a pain! They also seem to be getting bigger, harder to swallow and stick in your throat, often got to cough them back up and try again! Yucky!

Health wise, stopped drinking, will have 1 now and again, but only 1, drink lots of water, cordial, favoured teas, helps to stop meds from crystalising in your kidneys - real painful!

Exercise regularly - not a gym bunny, just some regular weights, walking, stretching - due to the old AZT which made me osteoporotic!

Take time out to relax, breaks away, enjoy life ????

Eat well, I actually eat lots of dairy, fruit, veg, salads, take away now and again - maybe once a week, steer clear of food that's been sitting around, common sense really! A dose of the shits seems to take a lot longer to get rid of!! For some the pills will do that anyway!! Ruins your sex life.

I changed jobs to something I enjoy, gave up on GP's who only had doom n gloom - Dr only gave me 2 years at most when diagnosed, proved him wrong!!

Only been hospitalized 3 times, pneumonia, allergy to one medication and crystallized med in kidney otherwise healthy...

There's still people who are ignorant about the disease, and even as early as 2005/2006 I ran into idiots online who saw poz profiles of mine, and told me I shouldn't be having sex....no, I should be sexless, and staying inside, doors lock, or even put into isolation some where. Yes, even in the new century. What are we to do with this guys though?

If you're poz, just keep a healthy lifestyle, get checked up by a specialist, and you should be fine. Some reports show that in countries where the meds are available, a guy getting HIV in his 20's should live to around the age of 69 y/o. And they are reporting that that age may get longer, as newer drugs and treatments come about.

If your earning are real low you can apply with your doctor help to get free meds.

I actually make more than the Ryan White program will allow assistance for. At the same time, my health coverage (due to the Affordable Care Act in the US) pays for all lab tests, and all but $50 a month for my prescription, which the creator of my med has generously picked up. So I pay nothing but my co pay for the office visit, which is $40 twice a year. So for $80 a year, I'm getting everything I need. So there is help out there, you just have to seek it out.
